Family Histories & Grandpa Dayley's Stories

On this site you will see both family histories and Grandpa Dayley's Stories. Why? Because part of J. Newell Dayley(Grandpa Dayley's)  family history is the stories and histories he told and wrote about Oakley and southern Idaho.

When you read the histories of Southern Idaho, they quote Grandpa Dayley and tell the stories he told the children and grandchildren about growing up as one of the first white children in the area. He told about Diamondfield Jack and Gobo Fango and being sheriff in the "wild west."

So there are three types of histories here on this site: J. Newell & Viola Bates' family histories, their ancestors' family histories, and on the far right, Grandpa Dayley's stories of pioneer days.

Welcome to the Dayley Family History Blog!

Welcome Dayley Family!

I've set this blog up as a way to share histories, documents, pictures of our Dayley Family Heritage. So many things are spread out among relatives that this is a way that we can all share them together and enjoy the blessings of our family. Please feel free to send me any histories, pictures, etc and I will add them to the site so we can all enjoy this together! I've also set up a Facebook Group called Dayley Family History where more pictures will be added. Enjoy!
